It finally seems as if I am ready to exchange my end. We are now just waiting on my buyers buyer. Enquiries have been sent to my buyers freeholder of the flat he own but as yet whoever owns the freehold hasn't seemed to have answered them and his sale can't go ahead until all that is sorted. But it shouldn't be long now before all is sorted, thank goodness.

Thanks for the flowers Aud , no news as yet from the hospital but i'm down to be next in if there is a Cancelation so me bags Packed lol . Sounds like it
should be any time Now then Sand I hope he gets his finger out soon . We will be going to see the Kids today Kieron is 4 today god thats gone so Quick so it

Yep you are right Kate.
Freehold it's yours outright and one owns the land as well
Leasehold one only owns the property for a given amount of years - When the lease runs out it reverts back to the Freeholder unless they sell another lease for it.
I own my house Freehold but my buyer owns his flat leasehold which means the people that are buying my buyers flat need something sorting out with the freehold which only the freeholder can answer questions on.
A few years ago my sister and I bought a large house and converted it into two flats. In order to make the flats easier to sell we then made up leased for each one individually. We each sold a flat lease hold but we were still the freeholders for many years until the chap that had bought one of the flats then wanted to buy the other. Because he wanted both flats he asked if we would sell him the freehold which we did.

AHH-HAAAA!! and there was me thinking it was always my pc at
fault! Well that eases my mind a bit. Sandy, I thought that if your house was freehold then it was yours? If its leasehold then there's someone else
involved. Somebody somewhere along the line in the past must have bought the lease outright for it to have become freehold. So long as things go well for you
thats all that really matters.
