Yuku free message boards

Hi all, sorry I haven't been in but I think you all know by now the reason why.

Today hasn't been too bad getting on here, it's only taking about 3 mins for each page to load which is a good day. But if you want to find me just click on my siggy and come over to join in.

More and more Yukers are finding their way there. Well, the ones like me who just can't seem to get Yuku boards up.

Our Jim (udidtoo) is an active member over there which is absolutely fantasic to once again have him around. He certainly hasn't changed at all. Still the saucy bugger he always was. I was absolutely stunned at how quickly the membership list mounted over there, but then I have tried to make it a really fun board. Zeta has many more fun things to do over there for members than Yuku has.

I'm afraid now that Yuku has been bought by Kickapps they aren't making the additions to the system that was promised in the beginning. It seems they are losing money hand over fist and many of us think that it wont be long before it goes down all together.

It is also rummered that Kickapps are putting the least amount of money into it and are then going to try and sell it on.

But anyway on to better things.

My Jess is now in a language college and is learning both French and Spanish and the great thing is that parents and grandparents are encouraged to sign up for at least one of the languages their child has picked and learn it with them for the grand price of £10.

Sarah and are off to register for Spanish on the 16th and hopefully they wont fill up the places before we get there.

As Aimee wants to eventually teach deaf children she is going to learn British sign language and Sarah is signing up to learn it with her. Unfortunately for me it starts just two months too soon for me to get a cheap registration. It's £240 and I don't qualify for a big reduction until November 1st when I become a pensioner. I need to be retired on the day I register. So I can't do it with them. I have always wanted to learn sign language as well, Bummer.

What else can I tell you on a catch up???

Have started getting Christmas pressies put by as I see something I think someone will like. Not going out deliberately to buy but shops are so desperate for cash that there are so many bargins around.

I claimed my pension today via telephone. I hope they don't make a mess up as they did with my Sis. They said she was only entitled to the smallest of pensions until she sent in dates of when she had paid granuated pensions and how they hadn't added on for the years she was married etc. In the end, as she knew, it turned out she was not only entitled to the full pension but a great deal on top for all the grads she had paid during those years that it was in action.

One shouldn't have to fight for an entitlement simply because government buildings can't keep their records in order.

On a side note, I am once again trying to give up the weed. Not sure if I will succeed though.

Anyway, got a splitting headache so I'm gonna post this and try to get on again soon.
