Meditation
In order to understand why we need to meditate we need to understand how the spirit realms exist.
Everything in our world/3 dimensional is made up of molecules. These molecules are vibrating on a certain frequency.
The spirit realms are exactly the same but the vibrational frequency is higher than ours. Spirit are always around us and the take up the same space as us but in a different dimension.
When spirit communicate with us, they communicate through our subconscious. There is too much activity going on in our conscious mind for them to link with us. So we meditate for two reasons.
One is so that we slightly close down our conscious mind and at the same time raise our subconscious level in order to allow spirit linking.
The other reason is that during meditation we are learning to raise our vibration to a higher spirit level.
Ideally we should meditate everyday and if possible at the same time each day. This isn't always possible of course, but one should try to meditate as often as possible.
When you are in a medative state your guides and teachers will be with you teaching and guiding you. Many people keep a pen and paper beside them to write what they receive so that it wont be forgotten when coming out of meditation.
If one does forget, and can't remember everything, it doesn't matter because the information has been placed in your subconscious, which, when the time comes for you to need the knowledge it will be remembered.
During meditation, this is the time to talk to your guides and teachers. Never be afraid of asking them questions. Ask their name. If they hand you something ask why they are handing it to you. Tell them your fears, and so on.
Meditating for our private time with spirit for guidance and learning is different from when we go into a slight meditation in circles in order to receive messages from spirit to pass on.
Each person finds their own way of meditating, whether they use candles, music, dim lighting or just sitting in silence.
When first learning to meditate it is best to sit upright on a hard chair with feet planted firmly on the floor because it is so easy to fall asleep if you are laying down. You ground, protect and open. Then concentrating on the chakra between the eyebrows try to push all conscious thought out of your head.
You can then take yourself to a pretty place where you can meet with spirit or you can simply just concentrate on your third eye and observe the images that come.
Some people find it hard to meditate when they first start, but don't worry just spend the time quietly and you will eventually be able to do it. It is best to only try for 15/20 for the first time.
