Your chakras are all over your body but in spiritual work we either use the 7 main ones or the 4 top ones.Chakras are invisible spinning energy centers in our bodies,by opening these we can raise our energy levels bringing our vibrational level up and by closing them we can lower it back down.Opening the chakras helps some people become more receptive to spirit and self awareness and many mediums and healers work with the chakras.
With the chakras ,again because you can not see them it is a matter of setting the intent and the thought ,however some people are sensitive enought to feel their chakras working within and can tell when a chakra needs some healing or cleaning of blocked.
Each chakra has a colour associated with it and each chakra represents a part of us and serves a function in our spiritual body.more information on this can be found in the chakra section
