"What is a Safe Room"
A safe room is a really handy thing to have at all times !!!!! - but especially for those who are learning.
Needless to say, I was taught this method by Grams and it's very simple and effective to do
Here's how ..................
When you are in meditation, focus on/imagine/picture in your mind two adjoining empty rooms - completely bare shells - create an entrance door in to one of them - doesn't matter which one. Then imagine yourself opening the door and going inside your completely empty room. Look around you and take your time in putting in your room whatever you would like to be in there, windows, lights, furniture, curtains, flooring, whatever decor and colours you like, candles, cushions, ornaments, pictures - whatever takes your fancy!! It's important that it is YOUR room and it is exactly how YOU want it for YOU !!
When you have finished your creation, take your time looking round it, admiring it and remembering everything you have placed in it.
Finally, create a doorway and a door into the empty shell adjoining it.
This will be your safe room and to confirm it say a little prayer along the lines of "Divine Spirit, this is my safe room and I will come here often in meditation. I ask that you guide me, protect me and keep me safe whenever I am in this room. Amen"
All done !!! Easy wasn't it ?
You will find that, sometimes, when you visit your safe room there are extra things in there that you have not placed there ............. these will be things that spirit have placed there for you and you will instantly know that they are extras and that you did not place them there yourself !!
When you have got used to your safe room and are able to find it easily and feel totally comfortable there, you can then begin your learning journey by opening the door into the empty room next door.
To begin with, you may find that this room is just complete blackness and there is nothing there at all. Possibly there might be something there that is not very nice - this will be about dealing with any fears you may have and they must be dealt with before you can progress.
After a few visits, you will find that this room will be your entrance to all manner of things on your spiritual journey.......
spirit will use it to teach you things in small lessons as they think you are ready .......... they may show you all manner of things such as scenes, places, symbolic things, your guides even, they may tell you things, make you sense things, make you smell things ................. could be absolutely anything !!!!
Don't be put off/disappointed/despondent if there continues to be nothing in the empty room at all ..........it doesn't matter................ just keep popping your head round that door and having a look !!! and one day ........... who knows !!
It is MOST important to remember that spirit will ONLY give you things when you are ready and if it is not the time then there will be nothing there............. that doesn't mean that you should stop looking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............. neither should you allow there being nothing there to become any kind of issue or big deal - just accept that it is not time yet and that there will be something there when the time is right for you !!!!!
